A dude from Idaho just set a new Guinness World Record for putting on the most T-shirts in a minute.
David Rush needed to don 25 shirts to beat the previous record. Ever an overachiever, he managed to get 35 on, though three were disqualified, making the official record 32 T-shirts in a minute.
Lest you wonder, “what’s the big deal?,” Rush points out it’s more difficult than it seems.
“Once you get past the tenth shirt you are not just fighting the clock anymore because you are fighting the fabric,” he wrote. “Each layer compresses and your arms lose range of motion. You are essentially wrestling a straitjacket.”
Bragging rights seems to have been a strong pull for Rush, who presently holds the most concurrent Guinness World Records.
What remains unclear, however, is why anyone would NEED to put on 35 shirts in a minute, unless they were reenacting the Friends episode where Joey puts on all of Chandler’s clothes at once.
