We’ve certainly come a long way when it comes to car technology, but we’re not sure you can control your speed down to the decimal point.
Still, that didn’t stop the Outagamie County Recycling and Solid Waste in Wisconsin from posting a sign with a speed limit of 17.3 mph outside its facility.
“Why 17.3? Because it makes you pause,” the waste management company writes in an Instagram post. “It makes you look twice. And most importantly, it breaks that ‘autopilot’ feeling we can all fall into when driving familiar routes.”
“At Outagamie County Recycling & Solid Waste, we have haulers, contractors, and residents moving through our site every day,” the post adds. “With so much activity, staying alert is key to keeping everyone safe.”
