A Florida murder trial took an unusual turn when 74-year-old murder suspect Robert Kessler offered to plead guilty and accept a life sentence in exchange for a Philly cheesesteak.
The bizarre offer came during jury selection. Kessler, who is accused of murdering a woman he was living with in 2021, told the judge he would plead guilty for a cheesesteak with onions and mayonnaise, a side of fries, and a 20-ounce Pepsi. When prosecutors said that wasn’t on the menu, Kessler changed his mind and declined to plead guilty. The case is scheduled to go to trial. (WKMG-TV Orlando)
