Hood River–White Salmon Bridge, full bridge closure planned Oct. 13 for marine vessel passage

HOOD RIVER, Ore. (Oct. 9, 2026) — The Hood River–White Salmon Bridge will close from 7 to 8 a.m. and again from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, to allow the marine vessel Granite Point to pass beneath the bridge.

Federal regulations require the bridge to open for marine traffic when at least 12 hours’ notice is provided (33 CFR § 117.869(b)).

The bridge will reopen once the vessel has passed and the lift is complete. Unforeseen delays are possible. If either closure extends beyond the announced time, an update will be posted at www.portofhoodriver.com.

Travelers should allow additional travel time during and after both scheduled closures as traffic clears.
