While Falco famously called on Amadeus to rock him, the famed composer’s hometown has been rocked by a crime spree.
According to The Associated Press, 210 golden statues of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart have been stolen from Salzburg, Austria, after being displayed in July to celebrate his 270th birthday.
The statues, which stand close to 20 inches tall, depict Mozart alongside his beloved dog, Pimperl. Their designer, German artist Ottmar Hörl, had planned to sell them for about $115.
The question remains: who could’ve, ahem, orchestrated such a crime? Salieri, we’re looking at you.
