Nicolas Cage says he’s temporarily homeless after a massive sinkhole opened next to his $10.5 million Malibu mansion. The 62-year-old actor revealed his living situation during an appearance at Los Angeles Comic Con on October 31st, saying, “I’m currently a little bit homeless.”
Cage has been staying in hotels since September, when heavy rain and coastal erosion caused a 25-foot-deep sinkhole to swallow his driveway. The collapse also blocked access to 31 neighboring properties, forcing evacuations.
Cage has obtained emergency permits to protect his beachfront property and begin repairs. Despite the disruption, he said he planned to take his 4-year-old daughter trick-or-treating in Santa Monica before watching the horror classic The Shining. (Page Six)
