It seems online is the place to go for those wanting to make new friends. A new survey by LiveMe, a live-streaming platform, suggests that people prefer making friends online. And, not only that, they also feel more connected to people online versus in person.
The survey, which targeted individuals aged 18-35 in the U.S. market, found that nearly 80% of people think it’s easier or prefer to make friends online than in person. Additionally, 70% of the surveyed individuals said they feel more connected to people online than in person. More than 85% are willing to meet friends in person that they first met online, while 51% have actually done so.
