The influencer phenomenon is taking over the nation, but they may not all reside where you think.
In September, Casino.org set to find the state with the most Instagram influencers in each state. The criteria including a minimum of 10k followers, a 2.0% or higher engagement rate, individuals aged 18 or older, ‘Creator’ account type, and verified and credible accounts. They then calculated influencers per capita based on the state’s population.
So what place came in number one? Washington D.C.
Washington, D.C. emerged as the undeniable influencer capital, boasting a staggering 129.9 influencers per capita.
On the opposite coast, California secures the second spot with an average of 90.0 influencers per capita.
New York grabs the third position in the nationwide influencer rankings, boasting 76.7 influencers per capita.
Tennessee, with 49.3 influencers per capita, takes the fourth spot and attracts a significant number of influencers, thanks in part to its enticing tax benefits and the allure of showcasing stylish cowboy boots in iconic bars.
In fifth place is Hawaii, where the captivating island scenery offers a perfect backdrop for travel influencers and cultural advocates keen on highlighting Hawaii’s rich heritage.
On the flip side, Wyoming claims the title of having the lowest influencer count per capita, with a modest 1.71 per capita. Remarkably, the entire state appears to have just one Instagram influencer according to the filtered search results.
