As far as metaphors go, this one might be a little too on the nose. Or, should we say, too on the trunk.
According to The Guardian, an elephant that was brought into the recent Texas Republican convention ended up relieving itself on the floor.
The elephant, of course, is the mascot of the GOP.
The Texas GOP posted video of the elephant named Paige on social media, though made no reference to the peeing incident. The Texas Democratic Party, meanwhile, deemed it, “The perfect metaphor for the Texas Republican Party.”
We suspect any plans to bring a donkey to any Democratic conventions have since been scrapped.
