Old cars on an old road set a new record

What do you get when you put more than 3,500 old cars in a row and then drive ’em through Oklahoma?

Well, probably a lot of breakdowns, but that’s not the point.

Saturday’s Route 66 Capital Cruise: Classic Car Centennial Parade in Tulsa not only celebrated the 100th anniversary of the iconic roadway, it also now holds the Guinness World Record for the largest parade of classic cars. There were 3,596, leaving the previous record of 1,105 in the dust(bowl).

Drivers from 42 states, Canada and France took part — with no mechanical problems as far as we know, just to be clear.
