From now on, if you want to make a wish at Rome’s Trevi Fountain, it’s gonna cost you more than the coin you toss.
Starting Monday, you’ll have to pay the equivalent of $2.30 to descend the steps that lead to the famous water.
Lawmakers say it’s not so much to raise money as it is to control crowd size, and keep tourists from doing things like eating pizza and ice cream at the historic landmark.
Still, they estimate it’ll bring in about $6 million.
