Parade is taking a metaphorical road trip, running down 75 of the “funniest town names” in the country.
While not exactly a ranking of which is necessarily funnier, the list starts with Big Bottom, Washington, before traveling to Sleepy Eye, Minnesota; Dummer, New Hampshire; Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey; and Kissimmee, Florida.
There are plenty of animal references along the way: Bird in Hand, Pennsylvania; Possum Grape, Arkansas; Horseheads, New York; Dog Town, California; Monkey’s Eyebrow, Kentucky; Anaconda, Montana; Slicklizzard, Alabama; Possum Trot, Alabama; and Hippo, Kentucky, among them.
