Distracted driving? Nah, we’re just watching videos, eating ribs and getting ready

You may want to pull over once you hear some of the things lots of us are up to behind the wheel.

A new survey by Life360 looks at distracted driving and what exactly we’re doing besides keeping our eyes on the road.

Forty-two percent of Gen Z admit they watch videos while they’re driving, with 37% scrolling social media as well.

Across the board, 27% of us basically get ready behind the wheel: changing, shaving, putting on makeup and even painting our nails. The percentage jumps to more than 50% if you just look at Gen Z.

While it’s safe to say plenty of us eat and drink behind the wheel, we also seem to think we’re pretty good at it. Seventy-two percent say they’ll even try to eat challenging foods while driving, like barbecue ribs or hot soup.
