Man drops more than 100 pounds eating Chick-fil-A for lunch

A Lincoln, Rhode Island, man reportedly dropped 132 pounds eating Chick-fil-A every day for lunch.

As appealing as that might sound, it turns out he wasn’t having the fried chicken sandwich and the waffle fries. Instead, the chain’s Spicy Southwest Salad seemed to be Tom Carroll‘s key to dropping the L-Bs.

Carroll says he ate a light breakfast every day and then had the 680-calorie salad as his big meal for lunch.

It’s made of greens, tomatoes, corn, black beans, peppers, cheese, grilled chicken, tortilla strips and creamy salsa dressing. The 32-year-old put together a similar, homemade version for dinner at night.

It’s worth noting he also stopped drinking alcohol and sugary beverages, and he did it for more than a year.

So far, Carroll’s not a Chick-fil-A spokesperson — just someone who realized he wanted to make some changes once the scale hit 360 pounds. You can check out his “Chick-fil-A Saved My Life” essay online.
