Baby seal searches for new haven on streets of Connecticut

A street in New Haven, Connecticut, was not exactly a new haven for a baby seal.

As seen in video obtained by Good Morning America, the young marine mammal, thought to be five to six weeks old, was found on a busy road in the city. After employees from the local Mystic Aquarium attempted to bring the seal back to the beach, he returned to the bright lights of New Haven the next day.

While the seal may fancy himself a real city-slicker type, cars and big buildings don’t really add up to a safe habitat for his species. The Mystic Aquarium plans to keep him under its watch before returning him to the wild in a few months.

We’re pretty sure the seal just wanted a bite of New Haven’s famous white clam pizza pie.
