A routine bathroom visit in Hollywood, Florida, took a “splash-tastic” turn for John Riddle, 58, when he encountered an unexpected guest in his toilet — a hissing iguana.
Riddle, noticing an open bathroom door leading to his pool area, ventured to close it, only to come face-to-face with the reptilian intruder, KABC reports.
Summoning his inner crocodile hunter, Riddle improvised, using a nearby baby gate to contain the bathroom-bound beast. “He was splashing and hissing at me,” Riddle recalled,
Not exactly an animal enthusiast, Riddle needed to muster up the courage to evict his aquatic friend. But before his heroic efforts could unfold, the iguana made its grand escape, diving into the pool and gallivanting into the backyard.
The good news? The iguana lived to hiss another day, and Riddle’s bathroom adventures are now legendary in the neighborhood.
