Americans across the globe are known for their love of food, and now they’re proving just how deep that loves goes. According to a new survey by OnePoll on behalf of TUMS, over half of adult Americans would do anything to enjoy their favorite food, including facing their wildest fears.
Two-thousand people were polled, and over 1000 of them said that they’d conquer fears such as public speaking, spiders and heights if the reward was to have as much of their favorite food as they want for free.
A similar number of participants confirmed that they love food more than anything else in their lives, while others discussed the lengths they’d for a good meal. A third of those surveyed said that they’d stolen food that wasn’t theirs from the communal refrigerator at their office, and a fifth admitted that they’ve eaten their favorite food out of a trash can before.
