Chattanooga man arrested for allegedly texting murder plot

A Chattanooga man has been charged with solicitation of murder after allegedly texting his intent
to kill a woman.

An affidavit posted Sunday on the Life Force website revealed Jerry McDonald‘s plan to kill an unnamed woman and reap the financial benefits from her death. His information has since been removed, according to WTVC.

McDonald reportedly texted, “Please kill her babe, please. I’m begging you.”

“There’s over a million in her dad’s safe. I’m saying I won’t get caught.”

Well… he did get caught.  The affidavit adds that someone got a hold of McDonald’s phone because he was passed out drunk and that person wanted to contact McDonald’s boss to let them know he might not be at work that afternoon.

That’s reportedly when the party involved found the incriminating text messages.

McDonald was arrested and held on a $75,000 bail.
