With Christmas just weeks away, the folks at Lawnstarter wanted to find out which cities were mathematically the best places to spend the season.
Compiling data on metrics on everything from scenic spots to fill your social media feeds, to feeding opportunities on holiday cakes and cookies, New York City came out on top.
Las Vegas, Nevada, ranked second, despite its lack of a chance to capture a white Christmas on the ‘Gram; ditto third-place Los Angeles.
Chicago ranked fourth, with Denver, Colorado, coming in fifth overall.
Coming in as the least festive city in the Union? Port St. Lucie, Florida.
There was a lot of overlap on individual attractions: For example, the Big Apple may have had the most holiday festivals, but it was followed by a four-way tie for second place: Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; and Seattle, Washington.
New York City also had the most seasonal shops, but Honolulu, Portland, Colorado Springs, Denver, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, tied for second.
