Life is a highway! I’m gonna crank it at over 160 mph all night long

Just because your car’s speedometer says you can drive past 160 miles per hour doesn’t mean you should.

ABC affiliate WTNH reports 30-year-old Alejandro Zapata-Rebello of Danbury, Connecticut took his orange 2021 Chevrolet Corvette up north on vacation. Unfortunately for the police in Ashland, New Hampshire, he brought his terrible driving habits with him.

Police caught him hauling up I-93 at a whopping 161 mph — more than double the highway’s speed limit of 70.  Because Zapata-Rebello was driving so quickly, police radioed a Be On the Lookout Order (BOLO) to catch him.

Soon, the orange car was sparking numerous calls to 911, with aggravated drivers complaining he nearly caused a few accidents.

Thankfully, New Hampshire traffic got the best of him and came to a standstill around the Woodstock area, where police picked him up in a traffic jam.

He was arrested and faces multiple counts, including reckless driving and disobeying an officer. Zapata-Rebello is due back in court on September 22.
