After the last couple of years we’ve had, you can’t blame Americans for wanting to let loose. To that end, a new survey looked into the happiest hour of the day: happy hour.
The poll of 2,000 Americans of legal drinking age revealed 38% think the so-called happy hour should actually be three hours long, in a perfect world. This is especially true with the long summer nights, the survey revealed.
The poll also revealed that most people think Tuesday is the ideal day to hit happy hour after work; Friday was a close second.
The poll, sponsored by the hard beverage Bevy Long Drink, revealed 68% of respondents want to make up for lost pandemic summers this year — 64% say they’re more excited for 2022 than any summer in recent history, in fact.
Forty-three percent said they’re looking forward to meeting up with their friends; 39% say they’re going to go out more often this summer; and 35% vow they’re going to hit music festivals now that they’re back on.
In fact, 61% say they feel guilty if they “burn daylight” during the summer by not doing something fun.
