Police in Maine didn’t have to search hard to find a man who attempted to hide from them.
In a since deleted Facebook post, the Belfast Police Department said officers were called to the Admiral Ocean Inn late Sunday night for the report of an intoxicated man causing a disturbance, according to an ABC affiliate WHOI.
Upon arrival, they found Philip Dulude and removed him from the property. They also warned him that if he returned he would be arrested. Apparently, that meant nothing to Dulude because when a sergeant returned to check the parking lot of the inn, they found Dulude sitting in a chair on the sidewalk out front, hiding beneath a blanket. Or attempting to — the outline of his body was clearly visible beneath the blanket.
The department says Dulude was then taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass and violation of bail conditions.
