Weekly COVID-19 Vaccine Report for Week Ending April 23

Through last week, at least 18,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in North Central Public Health District’s three-county service area of Wasco, Sherman and Gilliam counties.

In Wasco County, 38.59 percent of the total population has received at least one dose of vaccine. In Sherman County its 37.64 percent and in Gilliam County its 29.18 percent.

Entities providing vaccines include NCPHD, Mid-Columbia Medical Center, One Community Health, Sherman County Medical Clinic in Moro, Arlington Medical Center, South Gilliam Health Center in Condon, and Deschutes Rim Clinic in Maupin.

Local pharmacies, including Safeway, Walgreen’s, Fred Meyer and Bi-Mart in The Dalles and Murray’s Drug in Condon are also offering vaccines. Their totals are not included in the count below.

Through last Saturday, April 23, the following entities have administered 17,968 vaccines, including first and second doses. The breakdown of vaccines by agency or group is:

 North Central Public Health District (NCPHD): 11,442 cumulative doses; 1,120 the week ending April 23.
 Sherman County Medical Center: 777 cumulative; 22 the week ending April 23.
 Mid-Columbia Medical Center: 1,481 cumulative. (MCMC staffs a vaccine clinic on Wednesdays but the vaccine count is now tabulated through NCPHD and appointments are booked through NCPHD’s booking system.)
 One Community Health: 1,942 cumulative; 85 the week ending April 23.
 Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue: 332 cumulative doses (MCFR has completed its vaccine work, which included first responders.)
 Arlington Medical Center: 130 cumulative; 0 the week ending April 23.
 South Gilliam Health Center: 109 cumulative, 0 the week ending April 23.
 Deschutes Rim Health Clinic: 349 cumulative; 33 the week ending April 23.
 Local long term care facilities: 1,406 cumulative doses. (Long term care facilities have completed their doses.)


All Oregonians 16 and older are eligible for the vaccine. NCPHD is now taking walk-ins at its clinics, although appointments can be made at https://www.ncphd.org/book-vaccine or by calling 541-506-2600.


Tomorrow, Friday, April 30, NCPHD has a Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine clinic. This vaccine is authorized for those 16 and older. Please sign up online or call, or walk-in. Clinic hours are 4-7 p.m. at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center, 402 E. Scenic Drive, The Dalles.


We also have multiple Moderna appointments open. Moderna is authorized for those 18 and older.
