An unexpected traveler caused a stir at Chicago O’Hare International Airport when an exotic green bird, believed to be a parrot, flew into Terminal 5 and began interacting with passengers near the Air France check-in area.
Video showed the bird landing on people’s heads and luggage, then pecking at anyone who tried to catch it. An airport worker said the bird likely entered through an open door and “chose fight, not flight” as travelers and employees tried to help. The feathered troublemaker was eventually captured by a janitor using a shirt and taken to a veterinarian, where officials planned to check for a microchip and possibly identify its owner.
