Much like “Snake” Plissken, 23-year-old Jason Taylor was also accused of burglary and found himself in a dangerous situation in New York City. Unlike Snake, though, Taylor failed to escape from New York.
PIX11 reports that Taylor allegedly stole a payment machine from a Manhattan dry cleaner and then fled into Central Park. He then apparently decided to channel his inner action hero and jump into the park’s Harlem Meer lake.
The watery escape attempt did not go so well for Taylor, who, according to police, had to be rescued from the lake. He was pulled from the water by medics and transported to the hospital.
Taylor faces a charge for petit larceny.
