Survey of Women Veterans in Oregon: Your Voice Matters

The Advisory Committee to the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA) is seeking input from Women Veterans across our state, and we need your help to ensure their voices are heard.

Oregon is home to nearly 28,000 Women Veterans, one of the fastest-growing veteran populations in both the state and the country. Yet many women who have served in the military are not always recognized as veterans or don’t recognize themselves as veterans. For these reasons, they may not be connected to the benefits, services, and community they have earned through their service. This makes outreach and engagement especially important.

Currently, three Women Veterans serve on the Advisory Committee and are committed to identifying and prioritizing the experiences and needs of women who have served. To support this work, they have launched a short, statewide survey to better understand what matters most to Women Veterans in Oregon.

This survey is an opportunity for Women Veterans to share their perspectives on:

  • Access to benefits and services
  • Key challenges they face
  • Priorities for improving support systems and programs

Why this matters: The feedback collected will be compiled and shared directly with the Advisory Committee to inform future discussions and advocacy efforts aimed at strengthening services and support for Women Veterans across Oregon. Input from Women Veterans is critical to ensuring programs are inclusive and reflective of real experiences across our state.

About the survey:

  • The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete.
  • No personally identifiable information is collected.
  • Responses are confidential and will only be shared in summary form.

If you are a Woman Veteran, we strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to participate. If you are a partner, organization, or community member, please help us expand our reach by sharing the survey with Women Veterans in your networks.

Thank you for your service and for taking the time to make your voice heard.
