Here’s the problem: Tunis is the capital of Tunisia, a country in North Africa. Nice, France, is a bougie place to go on vacation.
Brittney Dzialo and her friend were on the plane ready to get their French on — or so they thought — until a fellow passenger alerted them they were headed to Africa. That was about when they realized the airline employee who sold them their tickets had misunderstood.
By the time they were able to alert a flight attendant, it was too late. They had no choice but to fly to Africa. After landing, it took several hours to get back in the air headed for Europe.
