7/22 Klickitat County Commissioners meeting

Klickitat County Board of Commissioners met today.  It was mostly routine business.

During the morning workshop, Jeff Hunter from Public Works gave a quick update on road damage due to the Burdoin Fire:

“We lost approximately four hundred feet of guardrail.  200 feet of it on Canyon Road where it burnt the posts and everything.  So, we will have to have a contractor come in to do that one.  On Courtdew Road we lost about 200 feet there. The blocks burned off, the rail burn bolts right through, but they are steel posts, and the steel posts are in good shape. So, the crews will put the new rail on that.”

In the afternoon formal session during Public Comment, resident Kayla gave Kudos to County Emergency Manager Jeff King and staff as well as fire fighters for all their efforts.
