Falling asleep in a New York subway station is never a wise idea, especially if you’re carrying a poorly concealed, illegal firearm.
Body-cam video posted to social media by the New York City Police Department shows a man sleeping on the steps of a Brooklyn subway station. The man’s shirt has ridden up above his waist, revealing a gun tucked into the waistband of his pants.
One cop wakes the man up and asks if he’s alright, while the other quickly grabs the loaded gun.
The man, identified as 45-year-old Lawrence Costa, according to WPIX-TV, was arrested and taken into custody, where he was allowed to “continue his nap in the holding cells.”
Costa was charged with three counts of criminal possession and local law violence.
