Uber just made getting around Europe easier for tourists

If you’ve got a trip to Europe in your summer plans, Uber just announced some features that could make getting around easier when you get there.

The ride-sharing company now says users can explore offerings in more than 10,000 cities, including Paris, the home of the Summer Olympics later in July.

And a potential rider won’t be hit with sticker shock after snagging a ride — they’ll be able to see what a ride from the airport and elsewhere will cost ahead of time. They’ll also be able to check wait times, reserve rides in advance and check driver availability once they reach their destination abroad.

If you are headed to Paris specifically, there’s Uber Bubbles — the first-ever champagne tour, created in conjunction with Perrier-Jouët and G.H. Mumm. For about $200, riders get a private car, two tastings and lunch.

Further, there’s Uber Cruise, in conjunction with Europe’s leading boat rental company, Click & Boat. Via the app, you can book a private — and free — one-hour cruise on the Seine River. The excursions will be offered every day July 28 through Aug. 3.
