Still have your eclipse glasses? Here’s how to donate them

A week ago, you scoured every store you could to snag a pair of eclipse glasses, but now that the 2024 solar eclipse is in the record books, you might be wondering what to do with your hard-fought find. 

Sure, you can hold onto them for the next one — in 20 years — or you can bin them if you haven’t already.

However, an organization called Astronomers Without Borders is hoping you haven’t — because they’ll take them off your hands for kids in need. 

Since there will be eclipses that we can’t see in our part of the world — but others can — the organization is rounding up the glasses just for that reason.

Astronomers Without Borders has posted a list of drop-off locations nationwide, but if none are near you, you can always snail mail the shades to:
