There was a Halloween-themed airport surprise in Seattle this week where TSA officers discovered a set of homemade-looking “Wolverine-style” claws in a passenger’s carry-on bag.
The unusual item featured three long blades attached to brass knuckles, drawing comparisons to both the X-Men character Wolverine and horror icon Freddy Krueger. TSA officers say they’ve seen plenty of prohibited items, but nothing quite like this. The passenger initially wasn’t sure whether the bag contained anything sharp, then remembered the claws after they were pulled from the luggage. The item was voluntarily surrendered, and the traveler was not charged with any crime.
Officials are using the incident as a reminder to double-check your carry-on before heading to the airport, especially during Halloween season when costume accessories can cross the line from festive to forbidden. (KING-TV Seattle)
