A Texas car collector with a taste for the unusual is getting attention after driving a British military armored vehicle through a Burger King drive-thru.
The vehicle enthusiast drove a 1950s-era Daimler Ferret scout car, which looks like a tank — with a rotating turret — but rides on wheels instead of tracks, up to the drive-thru window. He says it’s street legal in Texas and still runs on its original military-spec engine. The Burger King staff was a little stunned when he pulled up in the tank to receive his Whopper and fries.
In addition to the armored vehicle, the collector’s garage is packed with unusual rides, including a replica Batmobile, a Knight Rider KITT replica, and several high-end sports cars.
