Rental e-bike company Lime is reminding customers that its bikes are built for transportation, not medieval combat.
The company issued the warning after videos surfaced showing riders in a London ark charging at each other with makeshift lances while riding the company’s rental e-bikes. The stunt, essentially a modern version of jousting, drew attention online, but Lime says its bikes are meant for getting from Point A to Point B, not for recreating the Renaissance Fair finals. No serious injuries were reported, but the company stressed that using rental bikes as battle steeds is not exactly covered in the user agreement. (BBC)
