Just in time for Halloween, a real-life Pennywise was arrested in Maryland for reportedly living in a sewer and harassing children.
A woman called police to report that a man was living inside a sewer in Baltimore County and repeatedly approaching and harassing her children, even chasing them down the street. She became convinced after hearing the man singing from inside the sewer herself when she went to investigate. Police say the man was arrested on trespassing charges and later released. The mother also alleges he trespassed on her property and broke into her car. Authorities issued peace orders but have struggled to serve them because the man’s address is listed as unknown.
The woman says she doesn’t feel her family is adequately protected and wants county officials to secure the sewer access points. Police say they offered the man services that could help with housing and other resources, but he reportedly declined. (Independent)
