Yodel-ay-keep-cool: Swiss yodelers practice in fountains during heat wave

As the saying goes, the show must go on, even for yodelers in sweltering heat.

The Associated Press reports that performers in Switzerland’s recent national yodeling festival found themselves rehearsing in city fountains to keep cool amid the recent European heat wave.

Temperatures in the Swiss city of Basel, where the festival was held, reached around 102 degrees Fahrenheit.

Even with the wetter-than-expected stages, the festival brought in around 12,000 performers and 200,000 visitors.
