Talk about a helicopter parent: Chopper left behind in elementary school parking lot

A usual school parking lot sight is parents embarrassing their children by encouraging them to make good choices. A not-so-usual school parking lot sight is an abandoned helicopter.

Nevertheless, that’s what was left outside West Cheatham Elementary School in Tennessee on Thursday morning, prompting the school district to issue a notice to social media.

“We wanted our WCES families and employees to be aware as they arrive to school,” the post reads. “Thank you for your patience and understanding this morning as we will be working around it for bus transportation and student drop offs.”

According to ABC affiliate WKRN, the helicopter, which appeared to be an ambulance, was towed.

We don’t know how the helicopter ended up parked in front of the school, but it’s hard to imagine what happened was the product of making good choices.
