Golly, what a day: Baby foxes rescued from window well

Not even foxes can outfox peer pressure.

The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria in Virginia reports in an Instagram post that seven baby foxes found themselves trapped in a window well, “proving that when one sibling makes a questionable life choice … the rest will absolutely follow.”

“‘If all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?'” the post asks. “Apparently yes. Yes, they would.”

Or, maybe the foxes were hiding from the scheming sheriff and his posse, much like the famous fox Robin Hood was.

Either way, the situation had a happy ending, as the momma fox was “close by, patiently supervising the whole adventure and safely escorted her little daredevils to a better location once they were freed,” the shelter says.
