FEMA is seeking public comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement

FEMA is seeking public comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. They are analyzing potential changes to how the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is administered in Oregon to ensure compliance with the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA). This may affect residents who own property in a flood zone. Public comments can be submitted until October 6, 2025.

The project website contains the Draft EIS, the updated Draft Implementation Plan, other documents, information about public meetings, a link to a virtual room, and ways to comment.
