FEMA is seeking public comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. They are analyzing potential changes to how the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is administered in Oregon to ensure compliance with the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA). This may affect residents who own property in a flood zone. Public comments can be submitted until October 6, 2025.

FEMA will consider all input received during the Draft EIS public review and comment period. Following the comment period on the Draft EIS, FEMA will publish a Final EIS.
