Only paddles? British canoeist says he can’t compete in Olympics because of OnlyFans page

A British canoeist’s dream of competing in the Olympics has hit a significant snag, allegedly due to him posting on an OnlyFans account.

Kurts Adams Rozentals tells BBC Sport that he’s been suspended by Paddle UK, the governing body that supports canoeist training for the Olympics, because of what he refers to as his “spicy content page.” He says that he originally created his account to help fund his training, which he feels is not covered by the £16,000 grant — about $22,000 — provided by Paddle UK.

“I don’t know how much you need but it’s certainly not £16,000,” Rozentals says.

Rozentals adds that he shouldn’t have to choose between his OnlyFans account and his Olympic aspirations.

“This is the hardest decision that I’ve ever faced in my life,” Rozentals says. “It’s a tough decision but unless something changes in the way athletes are paid I don’t see a way of working with Paddle UK.”

For their part, Paddle UK says Rozental’s suspension relates to unspecified allegations and that the decision was made to “safeguard other athletes, staff, and volunteers due to the nature of the allegation.”
