Temporary parking & visitation impacts at Timberline Lodge Feb 19 – 28

Parking will be limited for climbers, skiers, and visitors to Timberline Lodge Feb. 19–28 due to a filming project. While the main lot will remain open, the Salmon River Lot will be closed to visitors on weekdays during the project. Visitors should park at Summit Pass parking lot along U.S. Highway 26 when the other lots are full.

Climbers and backcountry skiers will need to access the climber’s trail from the south end of the Salmon River Lot (climber’s lot) on Silcox Rd. The main lot will be the designated parking area for climbers on weekdays.

Carpooling and arriving early is strongly recommended. Visitors should also consider local shuttle options, including:

  • Timberline Resort Shuttle – Transportation between Summit Pass in Government Camp and Timberline’s Wy’East Day Lodge.
  • Mt. Hood Express – Transportation between Timberline, Skibowl, Government Camp, Welches area, & Sandy. Express route accommodates skis.

Sno-Park Permits are required for personal vehicles at Timberline Lodge Nov. 1 to April 30. Driving conditions on the mountain pass can vary drastically from lower elevations and drivers should always carry chains during the winter.
