Basketball, breakdancing top Olympics-related Google searches

The Paris Olympics wrapped up, but what events kept Americans’ interest?

According to the betting experts at Responsible Gambling, it’s basketball.

The website analyzed Google search data related to the Games, and with 38,100 average monthly Google searches, Americans are obviously hungry to see Team USA’s male squad, including superstars LeBron JamesKevin Durant and Stephen Curry. The female team includes Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart.

Coming in second, another interesting pick: breakdancing. With 20,537 monthly searches, Americans were apparently eager to see the Olympics debut of a pastime that was popular in 1984.

Third place was golf, with 14,013 monthly Google searches in the U.S., while fourth place went to wrestling, with 8,828. Soccer rounded out the top five with 8,412.
