Doctors are pooh-poohing influencer’s latest skin care routine

(NOTE CONTENT, NATURE) A Brazilian model and social media influencer is being criticized by doctors for touting a skin care routine that involves rubbing her own feces on her face.

Model Débora Peixoto tells Jam Press that she came up with the idea after reading that it could prevent aging, according to the New York Post.

Peixoto, who has over 650,000 Instagram followers, shared a video of herself applying the poop like a facial mask, then putting a clothespin on her nose to hide the stench. She left it on for several minutes before washing it off.

“It’s worked for me and my skin has stopped flaking!” says Peixoto, who previously went viral for putting period blood on her face to soften her skin.

We won’t vouch for the results, but the thought is definitely making our skin crawl.
