Lazy robber robs bank from the drive-thru — and it almost worked

A Maine man has been arrested after robbing a bank from the comfort of his own car.

Jason Arsenault, 41, pulled up to the drive-thru window, wearing a black mask over his face, and used the bank’s pneumonic tube to send a note to the teller that read, “CAR BOMB No Cops Alarms or WE ALL DIE $50,000 in 20’s,” according to court records obtained by HNGN.

The teller sent the money back through the tube, after which Arsenault sped away.

What Arsenault didn’t know was that police and FBI detectives used surveillance cameras to track the car and eventually got a picture of him without his mask.

They caught up with Arsenault six days later; he confessed to the crime and led them to the the loot, which was hidden in the woods.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
