Looking to turn on your partner? Try cleaning

While folks in a relationship may think they need to go all out to impress their better halves, a new survey suggests they should skip the wining and dining, and pick up a mop and a broom.

A new survey conducted on behalf of Swiffer and reported by SWNS finds that 69% of Americans say they are turned on when they see their partner cleaning. What’s more, 17% of Gen Zers and millennials say they’d rather be gifted a clean house than an expensive item (11%).

Plus a clean home can help you get lucky, with 67% of people saying they are more likely to “get fresh” with a partner when their house smells clean.

Conversely, a messy home could be a detriment to a person’s love life.

The poll finds that 68% of folks consider an unclean and smelly home to be a deal-breaker in a relationship, with 43% saying they’d cut a date short if a date’s home was unclean, and one-third would end a relationship for the same reason. Another 65% would think twice about moving in with a partner who had bad cleaning habits.

And if you’re worried about folks judging you for how you keep your home, well, you should be. Overall, 79% of people say how clean someone keeps their home affects how they view them.
