Summer is here, which means more people will be taking time off for vacation. But if you’re having a hard time deciding what to do on your getaway, Tripadvisor is here to help.
The travel site has come out with its 2024 Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best Things to Do list, rating the best attractions to visit in the U.S. and the world.
Topping the list for both the U.S. and globally is the Empire State Building in New York, thanks to 60,000 five-star reviews, with over 300 of those reviews calling it a “once and a lifetime” experience.
In the U.S., Iolani Palace in Honolulu, Hawaii, is the second-best attraction, followed by New York’s Central Park at #3, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo, Florida, at #4 and Stetson Mansion in DeLand, Florida, at #5. And New York has at least one more attraction in the top 10, the Brooklyn Bridge, which lands at #8.
Globally, the Eiffel Tower in Paris comes in at #2, with Amsterdam’s Anne Frank House at #3, Barcelona’s Basílica de la Sagrada Familia at #4 and Cayman Crystal Caves in Grand Cayman at #5.
