Theft leads to Drug Bust in Hood River

On Sunday May 14th an Officer with the HRPD responded to the theft in progress at a local Department store. As the Officer arrived, the male subject fled on foot and was last seen going into the trees and bushes on Westcliff. The Officer was able to positively confirm the identity of the individual through surveillance video. Even though the suspect left the area in a hurry, he managed to drop some of his belongings to include meth, and fentanyl and identification.

On Tuesday May 16th, Officers with the HRPD responded to a heights business and located the male shoplifting suspect. The male was arrested without incident and taken to NORCOR where he was booked and lodged.

The HRPD want to remind you all of the dangers of these drugs. These drugs are causing havoc nation wide and the Columbia Gorge is not immune.
