Sixty percent of pet owners would rather cuddle with their pets than their partners

While National Pet Day was on Tuesday, there are 364 more days to worship our furry friends. In fact, a new survey shows 60% of pet owners would rather snuggle with their pets than their partners.

The survey that was commissioned by PetSafe also noted — no surprise — nine in 10 want the best for their furbabies. Eighty percent admitted that their pets are their “number one” source of joy.

And for all we spend on our pets, owners say they give back: 48% say their animal friends made them more mature; 45% say their pet taught them patience; and 43% say their pets boost their mental health.

In fact, 60% say they confide their deepest secrets with their little ones.

With that in mind, is it any wonder nearly 80% of those polled admit they “have a hard time saying no” to those puppy dog eyes, or purring kitties?
