State official buys drugs outside of fast-food joint

A woman lost her cushy state job after she was busted for buying drugs in front of a fast-food joint.

WAFB reports Bridgette Hull, executive secretary of the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners, was caught buying drugs from Steven McCarthy, a dealer being watched by police.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said they were getting ready to arrest the suspect near the fast-food joint when Hull, who is 37, sidled up to make a purchase. Police closed in and McCarthy tried making a break for it — and managed to ding a car while trying to make his getaway.

Both were arrested and face multiple charges, including possession and intent to distribute narcotics, including meth and fentanyl. Hull was also bagged for firearm possession. Her bond was set at $250,717.

Hull has since lost her job, which pays $85,000 a year.
