Threatening the bus driver will not make said bus go faster

(NOTE LANGUAGE) A Massachusetts man in a hurry is now behind bars because he picked on the wrong bus driver.

Boston.com reports 22-year-old Wakell Steele was very upset about how slowly his MBTA bus was going, so he decided to take it up with the driver. Steele, who lives in Somerville, Massachusetts, indicated he wanted to get off on the next stop and proceeded to berate the driver for “F***ing driving too slowly.” He then demanded a refund.

Steele wasn’t done. He picked up a 5-pound piece of wood that the driver uses to keep the tires from rolling and took an “aggressive stance,” per the police report. His second demand for a refund didn’t go anywhere because the driver got up and walked off the bus.

The driver hollered at police to come take the problem rider off their hands. Officers grabbed Steele as he was stalking away down Central Street, but not before the angry man tried to fight officers and told them to take off their duty belts.

The suspect was booked at the Transit Police Department Headquarters and has been charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
